Thaxton’s will shuttle you to your starting point and you will paddle down to your vehicle. Private boaters welcome. Shuttle fees vary on distance driven and run from $18 - $40 a boat for 1 to 2 day trips. Those setting up their own shuttle and using our access sites must sign a release form and pay the insurance assessment of $7.50/person.
* We provide: canoes, kayaks, rafts, paddles and PFD’s (lifejackets)
*Children 12 and under are half off with two paid customers.
*For those who want to enjoy canoeing or kayaking without the long mileage, we offer:
Paddle out/Paddle in (unlimited): $15.00
(no shuttle service - you paddle upriver and back)
